Vintage Danish Einar Hove Skyline Bentwood Tan Buffalo Leather Armchair
A superb vintage Danish Skyline armchair designed by Einar Hove, a striking example of classic Scandinavian craftsmanship and design.
Featuring the iconic Skyline silhouette, the chair combines a beautifully button-tufted leather cushion with an elegant dark bentwood frame, creating a sophisticated and instantly recognisable mid-century aesthetic. The flowing curves of the frame contrast beautifully with the soft, generously padded upholstery, resulting in a chair that is both visually impressive and exceptionally comfortable.
Upholstered in premium buffalo leather, this is a high-quality piece built to last. The leather has been expertly hand-dyed in a rich tan colour, creating wonderful depth, warmth and character. Over time it has developed a beautiful patina, enhancing its vintage appeal and giving the chair an authentic, well-aged finish.
Designed with comfort in mind, the suspended cushion construction provides excellent support and a relaxed seating position, making it ideal for a living room, study, reading corner or design-led interior.
Crafted to the high standards associated with Danish furniture, the combination of quality buffalo leather, bentwood construction and timeless styling ensures this chair remains as desirable today as when it was first produced.
Presented in excellent vintage condition with minor age-related wear consistent with its age, adding to its authenticity and charm.
A beautifully crafted Einar Hove Skyline armchair, combining iconic Scandinavian design, premium buffalo leather and a wonderfully patinated hand-dyed finish.

A Family Business, Built on Craft
Family-run and rooted in restoration, we draw on over twenty years of experience to provide you with vintage pieces with the character — all finished by hand.
timeless pieces
the craft behind the patina
A slower way of making furniture — and the reason every piece feels different.

The Craft behind the patina
the craft behind the patina
Each sofa is dyed by hand using traditional pigments.
No two pieces finish the same — the patina develops naturally, just like fine leather luggage or vintage jackets.

The hand-dyeing process
Dyed by Hand, Not by Machine
Each hide is dyed by hand using layered techniques rather than sprayed or drum-coloured finishes.
The colour is built gradually, allowing depth, variation, and movement to develop across the surface.
No two hides take the dye in exactly the same way — and that’s entirely the point.
What you’re seeing isn’t a surface colour, it’s colour that lives within the leather!

The patina
A Patina Designed to Evolve
The patina is created through a multi-stage hand-dyeing and finishing process.
Over time, the leather continues to soften and deepen in tone through use, light, and touch, adding further character without losing integrity.
The result is a finish that feels established from day one and improves with age.
"Couldn’t recommend highly enough.
Absolutely love my sofa. And so does everyone else!"
Mark A.
"Brilliant pieces of furniture, great knowledge and you will not be disappointed. I bought an armchair after a visit to his warehouse. That in itself was a great experience. A hidden gem for now. Thank you!"
Michael K.
"They really are wonderful and we are delighted with our new chairs."
