1970s Danish Rustic Tan Leather Three-Seater Sofa – Full Grain Buffalo

Sale price£1,375.00

A striking and substantial 1970s Danish three-seater leather sofa, crafted from thick, full-grain buffalo leather in a beautifully hand-dyed tan tone. This piece is a perfect blend of rugged durability and refined craftsmanship, offering a bold, rustic aesthetic with unmistakable vintage charm.

The leather has aged wonderfully, developing a rich, natural patina that speaks to the quality of the materials used. Deep-seated and incredibly comfortable, the sofa provides excellent support and presence, making it ideal for everyday lounging or as a statement piece in a stylish interior.

What truly sets this sofa apart is its attention to detail — from the braided leather edging that frames the upholstery with artisan precision, to the sleek chrome feet that offer a sharp contrast to the earthy tones and add a touch of modernist edge. The overall construction is solid and robust, designed to last for decades and age beautifully over time.

the craft behind the patina

A slower way of making furniture — and the reason every piece feels different.

The Craft behind the patina

the craft behind the patina

Each sofa is dyed by hand using traditional pigments.

No two pieces finish the same — the patina develops naturally, just like fine leather luggage or vintage jackets.

The hand-dyeing process

Dyed by Hand, Not by Machine

Each hide is dyed by hand using layered techniques rather than sprayed or drum-coloured finishes.

The colour is built gradually, allowing depth, variation, and movement to develop across the surface.

No two hides take the dye in exactly the same way — and that’s entirely the point.

What you’re seeing isn’t a surface colour, it’s colour that lives within the leather!

The patina

A Patina Designed to Evolve

The patina is created through a multi-stage hand-dyeing and finishing process.

Over time, the leather continues to soften and deepen in tone through use, light, and touch, adding further character without losing integrity.

The result is a finish that feels established from day one and improves with age.

"Couldn’t recommend highly enough.
Absolutely love my sofa. And so does everyone else!"

"Brilliant pieces of furniture, great knowledge and you will not be disappointed. I bought an armchair after a visit to his warehouse. That in itself was a great experience. A hidden gem for now. Thank you!"

Michael K.

"They really are wonderful and we are delighted with our new chairs."
